Welcome to Lewisburg Hotel
Located in the heart of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, the Lewisburg Hotel stands as a charming Victorian-era landmark dating back to 1834. This historic hotel offers visitors a unique blend of old-world character and modern comfort, earning it a solid 4.2-star rating. Its prime location at 136 Market Street places guests within walking distance of local attractions such as the Slifer House Museum and Milton State Park, making it an ideal choice for travelers seeking both culture and convenience.
The hotel’s restaurant and bar area receive particular praise for their warm hospitality and inviting atmosphere. For example, Amy Ross shared her comforting experience managing Celiac Disease with the attentive kitchen and wait staff, underscoring the team’s genuine care and professionalism.
Food quality at Lewisburg Hotel’s dining venue also stands out. Dishes such as salmon and filet mignon have been described as excellent, complemented by delectable desserts like the lemon mascarpone cake. The cozy, beautifully restored dining room—with its historical charm, seasonal decorations, and candlelit ambiance—enhances the overall experience, making it a memorable spot for both casual meals and special family nights.
While the hotel excels in atmosphere and service, some guests note that the guest rooms show signs of age, with dated furnishings and thin walls contributing to a less polished lodging experience. Despite this, the rooms remain clean and functional, and the hotel compensates with free Wi-Fi, breakfast, and convenient parking. Its pet-friendly, smoke-free environment and air-conditioned spaces further encourage comfort.
From a broader perspective, Lewisburg Hotel captures the spirit of small-town America through its historic charm and community-focused service. It invites guests to unwind not just under its roof but also amid the surrounding Victorian streetscape. This hotel is a place where history feels alive, hospitality is heartfelt, and every visit offers a candid connection to the town’s legacy. For travelers who prioritize atmosphere, personalized service, and local flavor over modern luxury, Lewisburg Hotel presents a compelling, honest choice.

In my most recent trip to Norry, and coming back from a family event in Harrisburg, I found myself famished. As I crossed the bridge, I decided to go straight instead of turning left for the local, classic fan favorite. I asked my loving wife if she wanted to grab a quick drink to unwind from a long day of travel and found myself at the hotel. Upon entering the restaurant/bar area, I was joyfully greeted by all of the wonderful staff. They recommended a delicious beer to quench our traveling thirst and offered up a menu. After much deliberation and suggestions, I settled on their wings and French fries. The sauce was tough to pick but we decided on honey BBQ as well as a side car of the sweet chili was the right way to go. Promptly, our order came out and off we went. Upon arriving at home, I quickly opened the carefully tended to package and began to devour some of the tastiest food. The sauces were outstanding and the wings were enormous. It was totally worth it. The honey BBQ sauce was a wonderful blend of sweet and savory and the sweet chili sauce had the right amount of heat that wasn't overpowering. The bleu cheese wasn't your usual. It had an eclectic buttermilk taste. Our Fresh cut fries lasted the trip home and had the right amount of time in the fryer. You can tell that the kitchen cared what they were serving their patrons. I highly recommend this classic establishment and I can not wait to return to enjoy more of their most fresh menu.
I'm from out of town and was visiting family in the area. We made reservations at the Lewisburg Hotel for lunch and it was perfect! I needed a quiet location so my elderly family members could hear each other and the dining room was quiet. Our waitress, Cathy, provided excellent waitressing service. She also went above and beyond for me because I left my credit card in the receipt holder. She saw it there after we had left and removed it to keep it safe. When I called from out of state to ask if it was there, she offered to mail it to me. I received the card back in a few days which was greatly appreciated!
I'd love to say amazing things about this place. The staff were exceptional. The location is exceptional. Walk anywhere you want. The courtyard is lovely. However the rooms are dated and shabby. They ARE clean. No amenities to speak of. Walls are thin. Our TV didn't work so we listened to the drunk couple in the next room fight You are paying for the location. Saying that, just know this isn't a contemporary hotel. (Room keys are just that, keys!)
Wow! What a great place to take the family on a Friday night. I felt so comfortable both ordering and eating at this wonderful establishment. From the moment I spoke with the waitress about my medical diet restrictions due to Celiac Disease, I was shown kindness and care from the waitress and felt comfort from the communication between the kitchen staff, the waitress and myself. The gluten free meals and drinks presented to me were done so with professional verbal reassurance of various label-checking measures and extra food-prep precautions to prevent cross-contact. This care was given to me in such a beautiful atmosphere with good soft music playing, smiling knowledgeable staff with amazing customer service skills, and a great selection of meal and drink options that I was able to completely relax and enjoy my family. The waitress made my whole night when she happily gave me a sweet, bubbly drink that she chose for me based on what I told her I liked and said to me - "Thanks for making gluten free fun for me tonight!" Well, Lewisburg Hotel, a ginormous thanks to you for a beautifully fantastic dining experience my family and I won't soon forget. I'll definitely be back for more of your amazing "present day amenities and services." -Amy
My review is for the restaurant part, we didn't stay overnight. I had salmon and my partner had filet mignon - both were *excellent*. The lemon marscapone cake was delicious as well. Service was fantastic. I have to say tho that my favorite part was sitting in the dining room. What a great old building, restored so nicely. I absolutely loved the coziness. They had a Christmas tree and lit candles on the tables - all of it so lovely. The only thing that could have made it perfect was if the fireplaces were still working. We will definitely be back.
